Zoom integration

Perform is a coaching platform where coaches run communities of clients — training programs, check-ins, courses, and a shared calendar. Connecting Zoom lets a coach schedule a community meeting in Perform and have the Zoom meeting created automatically, with the join link attached to the event every member sees.

You need a Perform account to connect Zoom, because meetings are scheduled inside a coach's community. Either link takes you to Settings → Integrations once you're signed in.

Adding the app

  1. Sign in to Perform and open Settings → Integrations.
  2. On the Zoom card, select Connect Zoom.
  3. Zoom asks you to sign in and approve the requested permissions. Perform requests only what it needs: permission to create meetings, delete meetings it created, and read your Zoom user id so the connection can be tied to your account.
  4. After you approve, you return to Settings → Integrations and the Zoom card shows Connected.

The connection is per-user: each coach connects their own Zoom account, and meetings are created in that account. It does not require a Zoom administrator, and it gives Perform no access to any other user on your Zoom account.

Using the app

  1. In Perform, open a community and create a meeting.
  2. Set the location type to Zoom.
  3. Leave the URL field blank and save. Perform creates the meeting in your Zoom account and attaches the join link to the event.
  4. Members of the community see the meeting on their calendar with a Join button. Recurring meetings create a matching recurring meeting in Zoom.

You can always paste your own Zoom link into the URL field instead — Perform uses what you provide and does not create a new meeting in that case.

Removing the app

Either of these fully disconnects Zoom from Perform:

  • From Perform: Settings → Integrations → Zoom card → Disconnect Zoom. Perform revokes the access token with Zoom and deletes the stored credentials.
  • From Zoom: sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace, open Manage → Added Apps, find Perform and select Remove. Zoom notifies Perform and the stored credentials are deleted automatically.

Either way, Perform keeps no Zoom access or refresh tokens afterwards. Meetings that were already scheduled keep working — the join link is stored on the meeting itself — but new meetings will no longer generate Zoom links until you reconnect.

Troubleshooting

The Zoom card shows "Not connected" after I connected

Your Zoom authorization may have been revoked from the Zoom side, or the stored token could not be refreshed. Select Connect Zoom again to re-authorize.

The meeting was created but there is no Zoom link

Confirm the Zoom card shows Connected, and that the meeting's location type is Zoom with the URL field left blank. If the URL field contains a value, Perform uses that value instead of creating a meeting.

I deleted the meeting in Zoom and Perform still shows it

Perform and Zoom hold separate records. Delete or cancel the meeting in Perform to remove it from your members' calendars.

I changed Zoom accounts

Disconnect in Settings → Integrations, then connect again while signed in to the Zoom account you want meetings created in.

Data we store

Perform stores the OAuth access and refresh tokens for your Zoom account, your Zoom user and account id, and — for each meeting created through Perform — the Zoom meeting id and join URL. Perform does not access your meeting recordings, participant lists, chat, or any meeting you did not create through Perform.
